Hi! I’m Samantha — the founder of Equine Luxe.

​

If we haven’t met yet, I thought I’d introduce myself properly. Behind Equine Luxe is simply a girl who has loved horses for as long as she can remember, spent far too many hours covered in dirt, hay and manure, asked way too many questions and has always been determined to understand horses a little better.

​

Horses have been part of my life for over 15 years. I started riding at 10, and what began as a childhood passion quickly became something much deeper. Over the years, my love for horses grew beyond riding and competing into a genuine fascination with how they move, how they communicate and what we can do to help them feel their best.

​

I didn’t grow up in a horsey family. No one around me owned or rode horses, so finding my way into the industry was something I had to do largely on my own. From a young age, I was determined to learn. During high school, I completed my Certificate II in Horse Husbandry, while also spending countless hours cleaning stables, grooming horses and doing pretty much anything I could to get myself around horses.

I sought out every opportunity to learn — working with horses across different disciplines, attending seminars, listening to conferences and learning from veterinarians, farriers and other experienced professionals. Much of my education came from simply being there, watching, asking questions and getting my hands dirty.

​

I’m pretty sure there were days my farrier and vets dreaded coming to see my horses because they knew they were going to get a hundred questions from me! Luckily, they were always incredibly patient and happy to answer them. I wanted to understand the why behind everything — not just know what to do, but understand why we were doing it.

​

And I made mistakes along the way. I asked the silly questions. I got things wrong. I let myself fail. Not because I didn’t care, but because I wanted to learn. I believe some of the most valuable lessons come from being willing to make mistakes, understand what went wrong and try again. Every experience — good or bad — taught me something about horses, about myself and about what not to do.

I believe horses are always communicating with us. They can talk — we just don’t always take the time to listen.

​

Those hours spent alongside horses taught me things that can’t always be learned from a textbook. They taught me to notice the small things, to understand that every horse is different and to listen to what each individual horse is telling me.

​

I’m incredibly grateful to the many people who gave me the opportunity to learn and grow along the way. The people who opened their doors, shared their knowledge and trusted me with their horses played a huge part in shaping who I am today.

​

It had always been a dream of mine to work in equine therapy. After several horse-related accidents and a long period of recovery, including multiple surgeries, I eventually stepped away from riding and the industry for a few years. My love for horses never left, and eventually I decided it was time to pursue the path I had always dreamed of.

I enrolled in my Equine Sports Massage Therapy course and began Equine Luxe QLD, bringing together my lifelong passion for horses with my growing knowledge of massage, biomechanics and photonic therapy.

Why Equine Luxe?

Equine Luxe was created from a simple belief: every horse deserves to feel their best.

​

I wanted to create an experience that felt luxurious, personal and exceptional, while still being accessible to everyday horse owners. Growing up without a horsey family, I understand what it feels like to find your own way into the industry and work hard to make quality care accessible.

​

But more than anything, I wanted Equine Luxe to be for horses — all horses.

​

Your horse doesn’t have to compete. They don’t have to be an elite athlete. They don’t need a list of achievements beside their name. They might be a weekend warrior, a pleasure horse, a retired horse, a young horse finding their feet or simply the horse who means the absolute world to you.

​

They all deserve the same level of love, attention and care.

For me, the horse always comes first. I love getting to know each individual horse, listening to what they are telling us and being part of their journey — whether that means supporting an athletic career, assisting recovery or simply helping them move and feel their best.

​

If my years with horses have taught me one thing, it’s this: spend the hours drenched in sweat, (and maybe some tears), covered in dirt, horse boogers or who knows what else and simply just be around them. Those moments are not only therapeutic for us — they teach us how horses move, behave and communicate.

​

And that is what I want Equine Luxe to be about.

​

Listening to horses. Understanding them. Caring for them. And giving every horse the opportunity to experience a little Luxe.

​
